CouchCycled Grading System

New (Open Box) Grade items are overstock, customer returns and floor models from large retailers. We have connections to companies and help them with these types of items. 

• Floor Models: Floor models are items laid out at retailer’s showrooms for customers to try out. When someone finds a couch they like at a big retailer, it’s not that exact couch they sat on in the store that gets delivered, but one just out of the box in their warehouse. Retailers periodically get rid of floor models and they are usually very lightly used if at all. We get these floor models for much cheaper than retail and pass those savings on to you!
• Overstock: Overstock items are items that didn’t sell as fast as the retailer thought they would, so they end up having to get rid of them to make more space in their warehouse. In order to get rid of them quickly, these overstock items are sold cheap in bulk and we are able to pass those savings on to out customers!
• Customer Returns/Cancelled Orders: Sometimes customers order items from online retailers and don’t really like the way they look/feel once they see them in person. Sometimes they even cancel their order before it gets to them if they changed their mind. Since these item have been taken out of the box, already made it to the shipping warehouse or were custom made just for the customer, they can’t be resold as new a second time even though they are in like new condition. We buy these items from retailers for cheap and pass those savings on to our customers!

Like New items are generally from the same overstock shipments as New (Open Box) items but may have been transported outside of the box. Due to this, there may be very minor scuffs but are otherwise like new with no stains or notable damage. 

Some used items may fall into this category if they were used for very little time and show little/no signs of use. 

Pricing: Since these items are like new and we can easily identify the brand/model, we usually price these items at 50-65% OFF of what they sell for online. We include free white glove delivery on these items up to 25 miles. We still deliver past 25 miles but for a fee.

Gently Used Grade items are usually picked up 1 by 1 from houses of people in the area when they order new furniture or move out of town.

We buy/pickup these items and carefully inspect them before bringing them back to the warehouse.

Most items only require a light cleaning and/or very minor repairs before they are ready for a new home!

Some return items also end up in this category if they are a little more used.

Pricing: Since these items vary a bit in condition and we can’t always find the exact couch online for comparison, the pricing is less exact. We base it off style, color, size and brand. In general, these items are between 50-80% OFF Retail.

Clearance Grade items are also usually picked up 1 by 1 from houses of people in the area when they order a new couch or move out of town.

These items might be older or require more cleaning and/or minor repairs before they are ready for a new home. They may show signs of wear or some stains even after cleaning/repair.

A few return items might also end up in this category if they are more used or have minor damage.

Pricing: Since these items are more used/worn we base the price purely off functionality. In general, the bigger the item in this category, the more it will cost. Condition is still factored in, of course. Items of this grade will typically be 80-90% OFF retail prices.
